Applications are now open for the SUN CSN Nutrition Dialogues Youth Advocacy Fund!

Advocacy, Child Nutrition, Fundraising and Sustainability, Youth Leaders, Asia, East and Southern Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, West and Central Africa

Overview

The SUN Civil Society Network is offering grants of up to €10,000 to Civil Society Alliances (CSAs) for youth-led community dialogues on nutrition. This funding will amplify the voices of marginalised young people and community members, transforming local conversations into concrete policy asks that influence nutrition decision-making from local to global levels.

This opportunity builds on the momentum of the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit in Paris and is made possible by the French Government. It represents a unique chance to connect grassroots perspectives with high-level policy processes and drive meaningful change in the fight against malnutrition.

How do I apply?

Applications are now open! Click the button below and make sure you carefully read the following documents:

  • Application Guidance
  • Application Form – this should be completed by a nominated representative of the SUN CSA.

The SUN CSA representative must develop the project proposal in collaboration with young representatives (age 18-30) of existing youth networks or groups. The application must state how young people participated meaningfully in the process.

Once you are ready to apply, email your completed application form to [email protected].

Application Deadline: 23:59 (GMT) Friday 27th March 2026.

What is the funding for?

CSAs and young people will work in genuine partnership to design and deliver their programme. Together, they can use the funding to:

  • Build a team of young people (ideally from existing networks)
  • Co-design and deliver a national youth engagement nutrition action plan, ensuring CSAs and young people co-lead the strategy from conception to implementation
  • Facilitate youth-led nutrition dialogues that centre the voices and experiences of marginalised community members on nutrition challenges and solutions
  • Transform dialogue into advocacy by synthesising findings from community conversations into clear, evidence-based policy recommendations
  • Champion youth participation in Multi-Stakeholder Platforms, policy forums, and governance processes – ensuring young people have a seat at decision-making tables
  • Build a community of practice by documenting and sharing successes, challenges, and innovations with other Civil Society Alliances for peer learning

What support is available?

You won’t be doing this alone! Grant recipients will receive comprehensive support:

  • Dedicated technical assistance from the SUN CSN Secretariat
  • An Online Youth Engagement Resource Hub with practical toolkits and guidance
  • Peer learning opportunities through interactive webinars and regional workshops

A new chapter for youth-led nutrition action

Our SUN CSN Strategy 4.0 marks a new chapter for our network — and this small grant programme is one of the ways we’re bringing it to life.

Marginalised young people have insights, energy, and ideas that too rarely reach the spaces where decisions are made. This programme is designed to change that: to create the conditions where community voices become policy evidence, and where young people are not just consulted, but driving change.

We hope this funding will give a boost to the energy, commitment and vision that already exists across our network.
