In April 2013 civil society organizations joined the Scaling up Nutrition (SUN) Movement to curb malnutrition in Sierra Leone by forming the Civil Society Platform in partnership with UNICEF and Helen Keller International. FOCUS 1000 was selected to lead the coordination of this platform. The aim of the SUNI Civil Society Platform (SUNI CSP) is to pull together efforts of various civil society organisations to advocate for continued political commitment and investment in nutrition in Sierra Leone.
